VOX

Give

Every gift comes off your taxable income and adds weight to your vote. Membership is free, and everyone starts with one vote before a dollar is given.

Work out your gift

What a gift costs you

Set an amount and the calculator shows what it comes to over a year, what it takes off your tax, and the weight it carries into the vote.

Given each year

$3,000

Off your tax

$1,110

Your vote weight

2.1×

Weight is the square root of what you have given, capped at ten times the median member. Giving a hundred times more than someone else holds ten times their weight, not a hundred.

Register your gift

Start giving

Vox is taking founding gifts while the charity is registered and endorsed. Leave your details and you will be asked to confirm the gift when giving opens, at the amount you set here.

This goes straight onto the map as a proposal. You can leave it blank.

No money is taken today. Deductions depend on Vox holding deductible gift recipient status, which is a separate endorsement from charity registration.

Your gift is registered

You will get one email when giving opens and one when the first project you funded is finished. Nothing else.

Who gives

Open to anyone who pays tax

Individuals

Every gift comes off your taxable income, so you pay less income tax.

Give once, monthly, or straight out of your pay. Propose the work you want done, and vote on the shortlist.

Sole traders

Gifts come off your taxable income at your own marginal rate.

Propose the work you can see needs doing, sponsor a project as a business expense, or give skilled hours instead of money.

Companies

Gifts come off company profit, so the company pays less company tax.

Submit proposals, match staff gifts, and sponsor an area for the year. Companies do not vote. Their people do.
